We found the winged victory of Samothrace as the entry point to the museum.

The Louvre was built as a palace with various kings of France adding wings and buildings. These pictures show the palace aspect of the buildings.

One of the famed pieces is Venus de Milo. It was quite crowded in this area of the museum.

Mona Lisa is not to be missed and I guess nobody missed it. The crowds were too much for me. (movie)

Much of the art is sculpture including Greek and Roman. Some of it quite sensual.

There are many great paintings. We didn't take enough pictures but it's difficult to do a painting justice with a camera.
