June 2010 Trip to
CTA/LA, Show Low and Las Vegas
We drove our new car down to LA for Deb's final CTA
meeting. Debbie received an award mainly for her political activity for the
CTA PAC.
She said good by to her friends. I took the Dash Bus to the USC campus
and visited the Natural History Museum. We had
a nice steak dinner at
the top of the Bonaventure. We also said goodbye to our favorite bartender at the Bonaventure.
We then took off for Show Low Arizona. I decided to take 15 towards
Vegas and then go east on 40 towards Show Low with a stop in Kingman.
We finally arrived at Marshall's place. The
next morning we went to
Taylor for breakfast at a cute little place. Later we went out for a
nice steak dinner, Marshall had king crab legs.
We enjoyed couple drinks and conversation that evening. Next morning we
said goodbye. As we were leaving we
spotted this fox right near Marshall's.
Then back on 40 to Las Vegas. We stayed at Planet Hollywood. A very
nice room for a very good price. We gambled and
hiked around and visited the newest buildings which contained some really good art. We
decided to go to Cirque du Soleil"s Zoomanity show, an adult review.
Somehow we were picked to go on stage and be
interviewed and dance. The
tall cross dresser was really entertaining. Lots of people stopped to
talk with us afterward. We pretty much broke even. Lots of fun. Viva Las Vegas.
